We used to catch tons of them in the road ditches along HWY 15 south of Monroe just before you get to the Lofourche Bayou. We used these nets to do it baited with a piece of chicken in the middle. We could usually pick up a #3 wash tub of them; mostly the big red ones, in an afternoon on a good day with a dozen nets running them about every 15 minutes.
